Australian Platinum Kangaroo Bullion Coin

This is the sixth year that the Perth Mint has struck a Kangaroo in platinum and is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act of 1965. Based on the continuing popularity of their bullion program the Perth Mint sees the Platinum Kangaroo as a strong issue that will generate a lot of interest and will become a popular choice for investors and collectors alike.

Coin Design
The reverse design depicts the classic artistry of a bounding red kangaroo with textured rays of sunlight emanating outward in all directions. Inscriptions atop the artwork include AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO and below it are 2023, 1 OZ and 9995 PLATINUM. The Perth Mint's mint mark, "P", is to one side of the design. The obverse features the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include the face value of the coin, ELIZABETH II, 1952-2022 and AUSTRALIA.

Authentication Feature
The coin's reverse includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass.
