The reverse (tails) depicts an American eagle rising in flight, gripping a branch in its talons. Inscriptions are UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ, .9999 FINE GOLD and ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
