2004-P US Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Commemorative Uncirculated Silver Dollar
The United States Mint certifies that this coin is a genuine 2004 Lewis & Clark Commemorative Uncirculated Silver Dollar, struck in accordance with legislation passed by Congress and signed by the President on December 6, 1999, as Public Law 106-126. This coin was produced by the Department of the Treasury, United States Mint to commemorate the bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

Coin Designs
The obverse (heads side) design of the 2004 Lewis & Clark depicts Meriwether Lewis and William Clark on a stream bank planning another day of travel and exploration. Lewis is seen holding his journal.
The reverse (tails) design features two feathers from the National Council of the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial logo - representing the many Native American Indian cultures touched by the Corps of Discovery Expedition. It also features a peace medal presented to the Native American Nations during the expedition on behalf of President Jefferson. There are 17 stars that represent the number of states in the Union in 1804
