Bar Designs
Obverse: Depicts each of the twelve animals of the lunar cycle as a large star encircling the moon. Throughout the day, a two-hour window of potency is allotted to each animal, and the dragon, which places fifth clockwise, is at its most powerful between the hours of 7 and 9 am. Its zenith is marked with Chinese characters that translate as 8am. Inscriptions include SUISSE, 1oz GOLD 999.9, along with the PAMP Assayers mark and an individualized serial number.

Reverse: Showcases the Azure Dragon. The Azure Dragon is said to control the elements of water and air, such as tides and waves of seas and rivers, and whose powerful breath generates air currents and mighty winds. As guardian of the East, the Azure Dragon is a harbinger of the coming spring season and is said to control rain which can bring bountiful harvests.
