In June of 2023 the Coronation Gold Sovereign was released which the Obverse shows a Crowned portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings. With Benedetto Pistrucci’s famous portrayal of St. George slaying the dragon is depicted on the reverse of the coin. 2024 the was first definitive gold sovereign of King Charles III. The Obverse shows a portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings. Legend is "CHARLES III DEI GRA REX FID DEF". With the famous Reverse design of St. George slaying the dragon. The artist's initials B.P. are on the right of the date in the exergue.
