American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins
American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins unlike their proof counterparts, are not sold directly to the general public, but to a series of authorized buyers. These buyers obtain the uncirculated bullion coins from the Mint based on the current spot price of the metal plus a small premium. American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins are made in four denominations that contain one ounce, half-ounce, quarter-ounce and tenth-ounce of gold.
Coin Design
Obverse: Features a version of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' full-length figure of Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left.
Reverse: Male eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest containing a female eagle and eaglets (Type 1) or a portrait of an eagle (Type 2).
Coin Artists
Obverse: Augustus Saint-Gaudens (1848 - 1907)
Reverse: Miley Busiek (Type 1) or Jennie Norris (Type 2).
When purchasing "Random Dates" you can expect to receive dates and types of our choice, including Type 2 Reverse, depending upon current stock on hand. If you purchase multiple coins you may or may not receive all the same date or label, depending upon availability.
