Description
American Gold Buffalo (1 oz) $50 - Random Date and Random Label
Certified PCGS MS70
American Gold Buffalos are a relatively young coin, first minted by the United States in 2006. Created to compete with international bullion of higher purity, Buffalos are .9999 (24 carat) bullion, as opposed to America's pre-existing Gold Eagle at 91.67% (22 carat). Fractional varieties were made in 2008, but all other years have stuck to a standard 1 ounce piece with $50 face value. The design is a rendition of the classic U.S. Buffalo Nickel, with Indian head profile on the obverse and American Bison on the reverse.
When purchasing "Random Dates" you can expect to receive dates and types of our choice depending upon current stock on hand. If you purchase multiple coins you may or may not receive all the same date or label, depending upon availability.
Since its inception in 1985, Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) has modified its holder and label style on numerous occasions. The coin(s) you receive may be all one holder type or a mix. We cannot guarantee one specific holder or label type for this listing. If you are looking for a specific label and holder type, please review our other listings for this type of coin, as we may also have the holder/label style you are searching for available. However, all coins graded by PCGS (regardless of holder or label type) are guaranteed as to their authenticity and grade.
