The United States Mint returned to its original historical assets to render a closer reflection of Weinman's original vision that includes the addition of his traditional artist mark.
Reverse: The new reverse (tails) design features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest. Inscriptions are UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER and ONE DOLLAR. Also included are the designer initials "ESD" for Emily S. Damstra and sculptor initials "MG" for Michael Gaudioso.

Coin Artists

Obverse: Adolph A. Weinman (1870 - 1952)
Reverse: Emily S. Damstra, U.S. Mint's Artistic Infusion Program and Michael Gaudioso, Retired Sculptor-Engraver, United States Mint
