Peace Silver Dollars were minted from 1921 to 1935. Anthony de Francisi, a medalist, designed this dollar and his initals are located in the field of the coin under the neck of Liberty. The Peace Dollar symbolized the country's coming of age as an international power, while recognizing the sacrifices made by its citizens in World War I and celebrating victory and peace.

Coin Design
The obverse features Liberty in profile, a radiant crown on her head with inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST and 2023.

The reverse depicts an eagle at rest holding an olive branch. Inscriptions include PEACE, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUMIN and ONE DOLLAR.
