The 2022 Platinum Lunar 'Year of the Tiger' is the third of twelve animals associated with the ancient Chinese lunar calendar. The coin features a tiger standing on a peak with its head turned towards its tail. The Chinese character for "Tiger" and the inscription "TIGER 2022" also appear in the design with the Perth Mint's traditional "P" mintmark. The obverse depicts the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include the face value of the coin, weight, fineness and "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA."
