Due to the pandemic, the US Mint had to temporarily close the West Point Mint and redelegate the striking of the 1 oz Silver Eagle coins to other facilities.

2021 marks the 35th Anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Program. The United States Mint will unveil new reverse (tails) designs for bullion and collectible versions of American Eagle Gold and Silver Coins. The new designs (Type 2 Reverse) will begin appearing on these coins in midyear 2021.
This listing is for the Type 1 Reverse which remains unchanged from prior years.
