The 2020 Gold Lunar 'Year of the Mouse' is the first of twelve animals associated with the ancient Chinese lunar calendar. The coin features a mouse climbing stalks of wheat. The Chinese character for "Mouse" and the inscription "MOUSE 2020" also appear in the design with the Perth Mint's traditional "P" mintmark. The obverse depicts the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include the face value of the coin, weight, fineness and "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA."
