The Australian Silver Kangaroo is the first Australian silver coin struck in 99.99% fine silver and 2016 marked the first time the kangaroo has appeared on one of the mint's silver bullion coins, having previously only appeared on gold bullion pieces. The Silver Kangaroo has become a popular choice for investors and collectors alike.

Coin Design
The reverse design features an image of a hopping kangaroo at its center, with textured rays of sunlight emanating outward in all directions. Inscriptions atop the artwork include AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO and below it are 2019, 1 OZ, and 9999 SILVER. The Perth Mint's mint mark, "P", is to one side of the design. The obverse design has Jody Clark's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include the face value of the coin, ELIZABETH II and AUSTRALIA.

Authentication Feature
The coin's reverse includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass.
