Australian Lunar Series
The Australian Gold Lunar Series I began in 1996 with the Year of the Mouse and ended in 2007 with the Year of the Pig bullion coins. Lunar Series II began in 2008 with the Year of the Mouse and ends in 2019 with the Year of the Pig bullion coins. Produced by the Perth Mint, Australian Lunar bullion coins are popular with collectors and investors alike.

Coin Designs

The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, 1/4OZ 9999 GOLD, 2018 and 25 DOLLARS.

The reverse features a dog standing in a stylized scene featuring rocks and tree with inscriptions YEAR OF THE DOG and the Chinese character for "Dog" with the Perth Mint's traditional "P" mintmark.
