The United States Mint certifies that this coin is a genuine 2017 Boys Town Centennial Half Dollar, minted and issued in accordance with legislation passed by Congress and signed by the President on July 6, 2015, as Public Law 114-30. This coin was minted by the Department of the Treasury, United States Mint to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Boys Town. This coin is legal tender of the United States.

Coin Designs
The obverse (heads side) design of the 2017 Boys Town features an older brother holding the hand of his younger brother in 1917. They walk toward Father Flanagan's Boys Home and the 1940s Pylon representing what would become Boys Town. Inscriptions are "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST, " "SAVING CHILDREN" "BOYS TOWN," "1917" and "2017."
The reverse (tails) features a present-day Boys Town neighborhood of homes where children are schooled and nurtured by caring families. Out of these homes come young adults who graduate from high school and the Boys Town program. The inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "HEALING FAMILIES" and "HALF DOLLAR."
