The United States Mint certifies that this coin is a genuine 2014 Civil Rights Commemorative BU Silver Dollar, struck in accordance with legislation passed by Congress and signed by the President on December 2, 2008, as Public Law 110-451. This coin was produced by the United States Mint to commemorate the semicentennial of the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Coin Designs
The obverse (heads side) design of the 2014 Civil Rights features three people holding hands at a civil rights march.
The reverse (tails) design features three flames intertwined to symbolize freedom of education, freedom to vote, and the freedom to control one's own destiny.
