The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, 1/10 OZ 9999 GOLD, 2012 and 15 DOLLARS.
The reverse features a dragon with a pearl of wisdom with inscriptions YEAR OF THE DRAGON and the Chinese character for "Dragon" with the Perth Mint's traditional "P" mintmark.
