This coin was minted by the Department of the Treasury, United States Mint to commemorate the bicentennial of the Library of Congress.

The obverse (heads side) design of the 2000 Library of Congress Bimetallic $10 features the hand of Minerva raising the torch of learning over the dome of the Jefferson Building.
The reverse (tails) design features the Logo of the Library of Congress encircled by a laurel wreath.
