This coin was produced by the Department of the Treasury, United States Mint to commemorate the Constitution Bicentennial.

Coin Designs
The obverse (heads side) design of the 1987 Constitution Gold $5 portrays modernistic, highly stylized eagle holding a massive quill pen.
The reverse (tails) design features a quill pen with the words, "We the People".
