The United States Mint certifies that this coin is a genuine 1987 Constitution Commemorative Uncirculated Silver Dollar, struck in accordance with legislation passed by Congress and signed by the President on October 29, 1986, as Public Law 99-582. This coin was produced by the United States Mint to commemorate the Constitution Bicentennial.

Coin Designs
The obverse (heads side) design of the 1987 Constitution focuses on a quill pen, a sheaf of parchment and the words "We the People."
The reverse (tails) design portrays a cross section of Americans from various periods of history.
