1967 US Special Mint Set

The 1967 United States "Special Mint Set" contains a total of 5 different coins.

The 1967 sets were the third and final year these Special Mint Sets were released by the United States Mint.

The sets had an incredibly low mintage of 1,863,344 and, as a result, they can be elusive today. These are the highest quality coins produced in 1967, because for the third year in a row, the United States Mint produced no Proof Sets.

As the last year in this short series, the Kennedy half-dollar is the last 40% silver half-dollar produced in this finish.
Also included are the Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime and Washington quarter.

All five coins are housed in the Mint’s special hard plastic holder to protect the special finish imparted to each coin.
