100 Peso Mexican Silver Coin - (1977-1979) - Avg Circ

The 100 Peso Mexican Silver Coin were first minted in 1977 and replaced with a base metal version after 1979, the coin features the revolutionary leader Jose Maria Morelos. General Morelos was a Catholic priest who took over as leader when the rebel leaders fell in the 1811 revolution. Today Morelos is considered a national hero of Mexico; the state of Morelos and city of Morelia are named after him. Morelos has been portrayed on the 50-peso note since 1997.
