The Stillwater Mining Company and Johnson Matthey
collaborate to mine and refine the palladium to a 99.95% purity. The Northwest Territorial Mint began minting the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery bicentennial commemorative bars and rounds in 2004.

Round Design
The obverse of the Stillwater Palladium round shows explorers Lewis and Clark with inscriptions STILLWATER PALLADIUM, LEWIS & CLARK CORPS OF DISCOVERY and 2004.
The reverse features an American bison, similar to the design of the Buffalo Nickel from the early 1900s with inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, 1 TROY OUNCE and .9995 FINE PALLADIUM.

The one ounce round is 999.5 Pure and comes to you in a sealed assay card.
