Coin Design
The reverse design features a kangaroo with inscriptions that include “AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO” and the date, weight and purity. As with all Australian legal tender coinage, the obverse design has Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include the face value of the coin, “ELIZABETH II” and “AUSTRALIA or Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and inscriptions that include the face value of the coin, “CHARLES III” and “AUSTRALIA”.
