Lunar Series II began in 2008 with the Year of the Mouse and ends in 2019 with the Year of the Pig bullion coins. Produced by the Perth Mint and struck in .999 silver, Australian Lunar bullion coins are popular with collectors and investors alike.
Coin Designs
The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, 2 DOLLARS, 2013 and 2 OZ 999 SILVER.
The reverse features a snake coiled around a tree branch with inscriptions YEAR OF THE SNAKE and the Chinese character for "Snake" with the Perth Mint's traditional "P" mintmark.
