Lunar Series II began in 2008 with the Year of the Mouse and ends in 2019 with the Year of the Pig bullion coins. Produced by the Perth Mint, Australian Lunar bullion coins are popular with collectors and investors alike.
Coin Designs
The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, 1OZ 9999 GOLD, 2013 and 100 DOLLARS.
The reverse features a snake curled in the grass with bamboo in the background with inscriptions YEAR OF THE SNAKE and the Chinese character for "Snake" with the Perth Mint's traditional "P" mintmark.
